Established in the 1780s in Stourbridge in the West Midlands, by the founder Frederick Stuart, Stuart Crystal, is the most innovative name in British crystal glass, upholding traditional glass making skills, while bringing cutting edge designs to the consumer.
Stuart Crystal built a reputation during the latter part of the 19th century for its intricate Victorian coloured glass. By the 1900s, Robert Stuart, a descendant of Frederick, was developing his vision of glassmaking as an expressive art form, inspiring other leading glass makers in the art nouveau movement.
