In 1980/1981, Spring purchased bonded material from leading US cookware company All-Clad, and became the first manufacturer in Europe to produce and distribute several lines of cookware with unique features which combine the advantages of stainless steel with the excellent heat conductivity of aluminium. This, the world’s most advanced cookware, allows convenient and energy saving cooking, making the preparation and serving of food easier and more successful than ever. A few years later, and after the successful introduction of the new cookware, the Spring brothers acquired a licence from All-Clad and began to produce the bonded material themselves, which they named GL material.

In the 1980s, Spring became one of the leading brands in the field of Chafing Dishes and was the first European manufacturer of an extensive range of top quality and contemporary designed chafers.
