The Rosenthal Studio-line brand name was officially launched in 1961. In 1958, the Creative Centre in Selb was established as a working and meeting place for international artists, technicians and modellers. Since then, over one hundred and fifty famous designers, architects and artists such as Raymond Loewy, Walter Gropius, Björn Wiinblad, Tapio Wirkkala, Mario Bellini, Robin Platt, Cairn Young and more recently Jasper Morrison, have been invited to create design-oriented, contemporary porcelain ranges, glass and cutlery collections as well as accessories and gifts for Rosenthal.
