  • Acids found in food residue and mineral salts in water can attack the metal and will eventually cause unsightly pitting and staining. If your cutlery is washed promptly after use, it is not necessary to use any abrasive cleaners to remove food residue. Scouring with an abrasive pad will leave tiny scratches in the surface of the metal, which reduce the shine.
  • High direct heat can damage the surface of the metal, so it is not recommended that your cutlery be used for cooking.
  • If washing in a dishwasher, we advise that you take the pieces out as soon as the cycle is finished and wipe them dry with a soft cloth before putting away. This prevents any dishwasher salt residue that is present in the humid atmosphere from drying onto the pieces and causing watermark stains. Do not wash silver and stainless steel cutlery together as the silver could get scratched by the steel which is much harder, and the steel cutlery could rust.
