Caring for your Spring - Vulcano (Non-Stick)

Care and cleaning

Before the first use, simply wash your pan in warm soapy water with sponge or cloth. Rinse in warm water and dry thoroughly. Then wipe the non-stick surface with a small amount of cooking oil on a paper towel and wipe it off. Now you're ready to cook!

Care for the Non-stick surface

Allow pan to cool and then clean thoroughly after each use. Do not cut food with a sharp knife while it is in the pan. Metal utensils may be used but they could cause scratching. Scratches will not affect the non-stick release properties but can mar the beauty. Plastic, rubber or wood utensils are preferred.

Just as with all Spring cookware, a heat setting higher than medium is never necessary because Spring's aluminium core distributes heat evenly, not just at the bottom but all the way up the sides. Spring's Vulcano is safe for oven use up to 250°c, but should not be placed under the grill.

Discoloration

Acidic-based foods will not discolour your Spring non-stick. Food film, if not removed, may cause discoloration on the pan when it is reheated. This will not affect the non-stick properties and can be removed easily with a paste of baking soda and a little water.
