When Philip Rosenthal Jr - son of the company founder, Philipp Rosenthal - joined
the company in 1950, he set a new and important course for product development.
Rosenthal Jr strove for a radical break with traditional porcelain designs.
His objective was to bring avant-garde design to porcelain. These first pioneer
years of modern designs resulted in some of today's legendary products.
