Since then, Stuart Crystal's philosophy on design has always been
to innovate
rather than reflect current trends, and to ensure that excellent quality
remains
a constant. The company has pioneered collaborations with artists from
a wide
spectrum of creative fields to develop new crystal cut and design methods
that
differentiate it from other crystal brands.
The results of these collaborations were first seen in 1934 at a Harrods
exhibition
of pieces designed for Stuart Crystal by Graham Sutherland and Paul Nash,
both
highly regarded artists from the period. These designs led to some inspirational
creations by Geoffrey Stuart, a member of the fourth generation of the
Stuart family,
recalling the popular art deco style.
